Herman Miller Chair

Okay, check out my lastest thrift store find.....a Herman Miller Chair!!! I love anything Mid-Century Modern....so this caught my eye at a recent lunch hour shopping trip to the Salvation Army store in Pontaic, MI. I could hard believe my eyes, it was almost as good as my Haywood Wakefield Table find a few years back at a Council of the Blind Thrift Store, which was one of favorit store, and recently closed it's doors!

Bottom of chair with showing the labels and stamped name in shell, one label is damaged, but still reflect where it was made in Zeeland, MI. It also has a name plate where is states it was make for a Anna Elizabeth Grace Worbois, dated July 26, 1981?

It has the beige/cream fiberglass under shell and blond rocker feet, with a fabric on inside of chair in a light brown/beige. These chairs new, which you can still purchase are about $500.00 and the orginal design dates back to the 1950's. Love it!

and another view...pretty great condition, needs a little cleaning, but no damage to fabric, just normal wear for it's age of 28.

It's been a little stressful and busy at our house ....
but my youngest brother Jim...again agreed to go into substance abuse treatment on Thursday for 2 weeks....I pray that he will learn how to live his life without alcohol...since his poor body is suffering from the damage, along with those of us who love him.
